About Lili
Born into a theatrical family, I was painting for the theatre at an early age. The skills I learned in the scene shop propelled me into a career as a scenic artist right after receiving a degree from Gustavus Adolphus College. I have worked as a scenic artist for the Guthrie Theatre, Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, Macy's 8th Floor Special Events, and Acme Scenic Arts.A close second to my love of painting is my passion for travel. My greatest adventure to date was spending part of 2005 living and working in Italy, just outside of Florence. I was fortunate to be able to continue my painting there, applying my portraiture skills to a copy of Mignard’s Virgin of the Grapes that now hangs in the chapel of the Villa Terreno in Rufina.
Old Italian "character" aside, the chapel was in quite a state of disrepair. Four of us spent a few weeks patching, replastering, cleaning, and painting the interior and exterior of the chapel.
